The 640+ mtr (2080+ ft) of waterfront provides habitat for mangroves and the sea life that thrives in their protective roots. The path along the waterfront leads through manicured botanical gardens, over small streams, along large boulders and provides numerous breathtaking views of the lagoon if you can tear your eyes from the flora and fauna that abounds in the rain forest. Although there is no beach, the water is easily accessible for swimming off the dock. The mountainous property provides several maintained walking paths through canopied jungle, along approximately 10 hectars of mature cacao trees and beside numerous fruit trees, up a steep slope to the water catchment shed which provides spectacular views of the Chirique Lagoon. (This shed could easily be enclosed for an additional living area.) There is also a second storage shed near the dock. Rain forest wildlife abounds with over 30 species of birds identified, two species of sloth, monkeys, frogs, lizards, etc., as well as ready access to the bountiful sealife as well.

The house is a beautifully crafted self-sustaining two story island home built entirely of local hard woods by a United States master carpenter. A beautiful rock stairway ascends from the dock and boat house through a manicured and terraced lawn to the house. The lower level consists of a large uncovered deck, a bedroom with full bathroom, large open living area and storage. The main (top) level of the house consists of a large open floorplan with the kitchen, living, dining and bedroom all sharing a large space with spectacular views. This level also offers a large pantry, full bathroom and walk-in closet. The upper level boasts covered walk around porches with additional roof overhang to provide optimal protection from the tropical sun and rains. The views from the entire property are breathtaking. The home is supported by a solar system with generator back-up, gas cook stove and refrigerator, on-demand gas water heater, water filter and in-ground septic system. Cellular telephone reception is excellent. Wireless internet and Direct TV are available in the area. The island casual setee, two chairs, coffee table, 2 queen size beds, dining table with six chairs (all native hard wood), 4 bar stools, all linens and kitchen/dining household goods, microwave and full-size washing machine are included.

The open deck on the first level and a couple of the wooden steps to the main level will need repair due to exposure to the elements. The dock flooring is under repair at this time.
