Never before have I been on a golf course where I hear the words "Wow" and "Spectacular" and "Amazing" so often. Golf at Cap Cana will consist of three Jack Nicklaus Signature courses. The first, Punta Espada, is the first and only PGA certified golf course in the Dominican Republic, which allows for PGA tournament play. Punta Espada has nine of its eighteen holes directly on the Caribbean Sea, and the ocean is clear and visible for 16 of the 18 holes. When Cap Cana originally requested that Jack Nicklaus Signature design the first course, Jack Nicklaus asked Cap Cana where they planned on putting homes, and that he would design the golf course around the homes. Cap Cana President Mr. Ricardo Hazoury responded with, "Actually, we would like you to put the golf course where ever you want, and we will design Cap Cana around your golf course." Hence, some of the best real estate in Cap Cana has been given to the Spectacular Punta Espada Golf Course
