Named for "sister city" Dunedin, Scotland, this charming town is just north of Clearwater and St. Petersburg, just west of Tampa (home of Busch Gardens) and south of Tarpon Springs, the sponge diving capital of the world and home to the best Greek food and seafood outside Plaka or Mykonos!

Ever seen a Manatee? A dolphin? Alligators? All are native to the area and you are likely to see them often if you spend time by the water. The manatees and dolphins are gentle and curious, you'll want to keep your distance from alligators though... if your golf ball goes in the water... best to take the stroke and leave it there if you see eyes looking back at you. Florida is home to some of the most beautiful golf courses in the world, by the way.

Some of the best fishing in the world is here too... in the Gulf of Mexico! There is no shortage of charter boats, boat rentals, or slips for your own boat in the area. Lake fishing is simple... just drop your line in the nearest lake... there are hundreds of them!

You are just a short drive to anywhere you want to go, and just an hour and a half from Disney, SeaWorld, Universal Studios and area attractions in Orlando.

Downtown Dunedin is chock full of quaint antique stores, a variety of cafes, ice cream shoppes, gourmet food & wine and other delights such as the Dunedin Brewery, the public library and the historical museum.

The Pinellas Trail runs right through the heart of downtown, a biking and hiking trail that runs virtually the length of Pinellas country and provides a safe and healthy outlet for enjoying exercise and fresh air, tinged with the sweet smell of the ocean, of course!

Like to swim? There are TWO swimming pools in your new neighborhood, one is just behind you, walk down the neighbors drive, and you are there. Start your day with breakfast in the covered picnic area by the pool. There is even a shower with HOT water. I like to take my shampoo and finish my swim with a warm shower... fabulous and ready for the day!

Just a couple miles away, 5 minutes by car, is the waterfront... with some of the most breathtaking sunsets you will ever see. Dunedin beach is close by and has a long causeway and even a ferry out to Caladesi Island Park.

Like culture? St. Petersburg and Tampa are a short drive away and offer concerts, major sporting events, trade and convention centers and so much more! Tampa is home to Ybor City... what Tarpon Springs is, thanks to the lovely Greek settlers there, Ybor City is because of it's long proud Cuban traditions. This part of Florida has pockets of international culture that go back over 100 years!
