Retirement and Investment Properties for Sale in Romblon, Philippines
Affordable Tropical Paradise for Expats!
At Samar for example, we built retirement homes for around 120 ‘foreigners’ from 34 different nations, forming a great international community. Their dream-homes were custom designed and ranged from US $ 60,000 to US $ 300,000; including land!
Samar has so much to offer for Expats:
- The largest National Park in this country; 330,000 hectares with more than 100 amazing water falls and countless rivers and creeks.
- The wild life is unique too; eagles, monkeys, tarsiers, wild bores, lizards, dolphins, turtles, whale sharks etc.
- The biggest and deepest caves in South East Asia.
- Islands hopping and snorkeling/diving - amazing and fantastic corals surrounding these paradise islands with their palm trees and white, inviting beaches.
The other island is Tablas (part of Romblon); another affordable, peaceful and clean retirement haven. Geographically located right in the middle of The Philippines - with The World Famous Resort Paradise of Boracay Island (which has one million tourists per year!) only 15 minutes away with speed boat.
But Tablas is kindof the opposite of Boracay; undiscovered and sleepy, they have the same beautiful white beaches but without the crowds. This is where you go for a quiet, idyllic retirement spot, tranquility and privacy, caves, waterfalls, hot springs, a walk in the cool mountains, unspoiled scuba dive sites and many fish sanctuaries for snorkeling too.
For those who prefer to live in the mountains with a cool breeze (like in Tagaytay and Baguio), a mountain golf course project with villas will arise with a 360 degree panoramic overlooking view.
The reason why many people now start thinking about living on Tablas is because of the easy access by airplane (Boracay does not have an airport...) and of course the huge potential as Philippine investment opportunity. Prices of real estate are increasing as we speak; it's is a matter of 'getting in on the ground floor'. Koreans have already built beautiful new roads around the island.
Tablas Island has now at least three interesting developments:
1) a Philippine private luxury yacht cruise business; Charter a yacht or invest in one with great ROI projections plus (being ‘a floating 5-star hotel room’) the benefit of going places where nobody else goes…
2) a 120 hectare ECO organic farm to show that there are other investment opportunities in the Philippines aside from the (over-promoted) condotel investments in Cebu and Manila. Your return on investment will be higher also due to the 'added value crops' for export, like pili nuts. Only a few hectare are still available.
3) Near this Health Garden owned by 'foreigners', an Expat retirement village is being built on the beach; a logical step from the same developers to supply the occupants with their daily fresh vegetables, fruits, bee honey, the magical Soursop (prevents diseases) etc.
This will become a world class, sea side ‘Philippine retirement haven’ with Club House, Restaurant, Bar, pools, international doctors and nurses available 24 hours, comfortable transport, ‘high end’ (but very affordable) homes designed according to your specifications – and with all thinkable services. This project is also almost sold out but the next projects are already on the drawing-board…
