• Cars can be hired easily from Luleå airport (Avis, Hertz and Europecar) and Jokkmokk.
• Murjek, which is a village 13kms from the village, has direct train routes to Stockholm, Luleå (for the airport) and Kiruna for the world famous Ice Hotel.
Transport in the winter
• Transport is not difficult in winter as all roads are kept open and cleared daily of snow. Hire cars are supplied with the appropriate tyres and warming equipment. The engine warmer power lead is simply plugged into an outside socket an hour or two before a journey.
