Granit Deposti for Sale in Vápenná, Czech Republic
Granit Deposit - Biotic Granite, Evenly Grained
The site is made up of biotic granite, evenly grained; the matrix is medium-grained.
The stone contains burrs of potassium feldspar, quartz and biotic mica.
The deposit overburden is made of eroded detritus material consisting of slightly earthed and strongly eroded granite with a small amount of bigger pieces, the thickness of the overburden is variable and reaches up to 5 m. Mostly, it is horizontally eroded rocks, and it must be taken into account that in the north-east direction the thickness of the deposit increases with respect to the landscape morphology.
The quarry plateau, where earlier the land owner performed mining activities that where finished in the fifties approximately, is situated approximately 451 m above sea level, and according to the landscape stratigraphy, the presupposed upper edge of the pit quarry is situated in the height of 475 m above sea level.
Granite material consists of rock blocks of irregular sizes, which become loose in the cleavage system leading in three basic directions. Further on, other directions of cleavages, which seem to be in no apparent system, can be traced.
In the deposit overburden, there is overburden material consisting of forest humus or earth the thickness of which reaches up to 20 cm, and further of a thick layer of eroded material of about 1 to 5 m consisting of eroded deposit rock combined with a higher or lower proportion of earth that will be mined together with the eroded granite material and placed on the waste pile.
