I have owned the villa for 10 years and to this day every time I look out the windows or am on the decks, the views literally take my breath away. I have traveled the entire Carib and this is one of a kind spot. That is the heartache in selling it as I don't think I will ever be able to duplicate. The tropical breezes are wonderful, comfortable and flow through the open shutters of the villa. I even have light down quilts on the beds. The doves coo, there is a pair that have graced the villa with their presence for the last 10 years. So with the doves cooing and the waves breaking, you sleep like a baby and awake a refreshed and energized new person each day.

Date Submitted: November 22, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008 We found this beautiful property in Barbados that was clean, well maintained, well equipped, very comfortable and a great deal. There was nothing we lacked. Right on the water, gorgeous breezes, no bugs, and 3 different beaches to choose from at our door step. We did our swimming on one beach and our tanning on another. There is also a beautiful resort beach close by, if you so choose. The owner had told us we would have 2 of the beaches to ourselves most of the time and we did. To find a place anywhere on this earth that it is just you on these gorgeous beaches with white powdery sand, turquoise sea, endless sky with the cliffs embracing you, we felt truly privileged. We would spend amazing days on these beaches, enjoyed evenings dining out or cooking at the villa and ending our nights on the balcony outside the bedroom under a sky with thousands of stars, tropical breeze and sounds of the surf. We slept like babies. The location of the villa was great. We felt very safe. Close and easy to get everywhere we chose to go. We had fun driving around the island in an open air jeep. We got some great tips from the owner prior to leaving on exploring the island, sites to see, restaurants, grocery stores, you name it. The caretaker and handyman were very nice and helpful and just a phone call away if we needed anything or had any questions. We returned home feeling great. Rested, tanned and rejuvenated. I was online looking up the property again, as we are already trying to figure out when we can return. We have so many fond memories of our holiday and loved the villa. I kind of feel like one of the other reviewers in that I am giving away a great secret destination. But it is the least I can do, as one can tell the owner has given 150% in making this villa an amazing place to spend a holiday. And we want to show our appreciation and thanks. This Villa met and exceeded all of my expectations! It was comfortable, clean, safe, in a perfect location, kitchen did not lack anything, decor was perfect, spacious, lots of closet space w/hangers, caretaker on property was helpful when needed, security/alarm system, loved the keyless entry system (no keys to lose!), wonderful ocean breezes, plush grass in backyard surrounded by fencing, auto night lighting system, unforgettable sunrises on upper deck. Villa is on a street with only 4 other properties so it is quiet. The owner takes tremendous care and pride in the villa and it shows in her decorating in all 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and living and kitchen space. More than enough utensils and dinnerware. The entryway to the villa is thriving with native flowers and a banana tree. Villa is also located close to the Crane for dinners or the beach. There is a beach within 1 block walking distance that we used every day and virtually had it to ourselves. Villa is also close to Grantley Adams Inter. AP and many beaches. St. Philip parish is a good location for everything and we feel had the prettiest of beaches. If you are looking for comfort, relaxation, safe, close to activities and just a good at home feeling, this is the villa for you. On a scale of 1-10, this villa is a 12!! Also the owner was extremely helpful in all our planning. Every question we had was answered quicky and thoroughly. This was a big plus for me as we had never been to Barbados and had many questions. Owner even was helpful with info on flights and car rentals. Do not be afraid to rent a car so you can really see the true Barbados! Your visit to this villa and Barbados will have you aching to return - trust me on this one! You will return home with many wonderful experiences and memories. Date Submitted: May 28, 2008 Date of Stay: December 2007 "My husband and I spent the Christmas and New Year's Holiday with our 3 young children at this beautiful property. This was our 1st travel experience to a home rather than a hotel - and it exceeded our expectations on every level. The upper decks allowed my husband and I to read and sun ourselves while the children were napping. The kitchen was so well equipped that we were able to prepare/cook a full American turkey dinner and all the trimmings for the holidays. The ocean views are spectacular! We enjoyed falling asleep to the tranquil sounds of the waves hitting the cliffs and loved the breeze. What a delight - no bugs/no flying insects! The children loved watching the local fisherman on the cliffs and had a ball playing soccer in the picket fenced yard. The caretaker was wonderful and most helpful to our family. We felt very safe. At dusk the outdoor lighting automatically illuminates the property - it is quite pretty. We loved exploring the island. This villa felt like our home away from home and we look forward to returning. When I was contacted recently by the owner to write a review I did not want to do it, as I did not want to share my secret destination with the world! In all fairness though, I must tell you you would never be disappointed with this property, no matter what your ages are. This property has something for everyone. Incredible views, comfortable beds and soft linens, well equipped, a fenced in yard for the kids, and easy access to a beautiful private beach. We feel so fortunate and lucky to have come upon this incredible vacation rental. We just returned from a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The views from the moment you wake are beyond words. The house and decks were lovely and most comfortable. We loved the privacy and unspoiled beauty of the beach right below the house. The location is breathtaking, undoubtably the best location for a very relaxing holiday. The upper and lower decks are ideal for eating and sipping cocktails with the sound of the waves breaking the the background. Highly recommended. No matter where I travel on the island, I can't wait to get home to feel the beautiful breezes. This was a well kept secret on the island. Just in the last couple years has this beautiful breeze, spectacular beaches and coast of this magnificent parish been truly discovered. The secret is out and St. Philip is the fastest growing parish on the island. The pink coral on the beach below the villa is blown in from the West African Desert. The villa is a very open living concept with french doors to the lower verandah and then down a few steps to the gated, guard wall and picket fenced Bermuda grass lawn. Then steps below the villa to this beautiful secluded beach. The best tanning in the entire Carib. White powdery sand with pink coral, great breeze and cliffs surround you. You haven't lived until you sit on this beach alone and take it all in. It truly is "Paradise Found". Upstairs is equally an open living concept with the comfortably furnished balcony becoming an additional room to the villa. I spend as much time there as I do inside. Great for morning sun and at night you can pick the stars out of the sky they seem so close. The villa has proved to be a wonderful investment on an island that is the"gem of the Caribbean" Sound politically, incredible drinking water, safe agriculture products, ever advancing and growing infra structure, no hurricanes in over 60 years, high literacy rate, wonderful people, very accessible from this great big world. The island is booming. Not an inch of oceanfront property left that is not being developed. Major development going on all over the island. Renting the Villa: Available weekly, prices range from $1500-$3500/week depending on time of year. Will consider longer stays at negotiated prices depending upon availability. Romantic yet great for family. Memorable holidays, Re energize your soul. Return home a new person. Fully and comfortably furnished, centrally located near airport, shops, grocery stores, gas, cash machine, tourist sites, restaurants and nightlife. Highly recommend renting a car. Fun and safe island to explore. Email owner regarding availability and prices. Selling of Villa: Substantial income property as well as the perfect vacation home. Owner financing available, as mortgages in the Carib can be difficult to secure. There are options with offshore banks. However, if you choose, I can finance for you with a down payment and reasonable terms of lending. Lawyers and Banks in Barbados are highly reputable. Pricing of the villa; one only needs to look at oceanfront property in Florida or California to even imagine where these prices are going to go. At the moment a 3 bedroom oceanfront villa in the States goes for about 6-8 million, in a low market, if you can even find any for sale. There is no doubt someday soon Barbados prices will follow. At 2,250,000 one easily can imagine the scenerio of tripling your investment in a reasonable period of time. And when you discover the incredibly low capital gains tax in Barbados, it all seems too good to be true. But it's not. It's real, it's gorgeous, a great investment with favorable tax laws and truly is "Paradise Found". Immaculate move in condition, just bring your suitcase. Well maintained and taken care of.
