NYUMBU CAMP is an eco-friendly, permanent camp, on the Ngila Plains, at the edge of the Maasai
Mara Game Reserve, in the greater Mara Eco-system which serves as the dispersal area of The Great
Migration. Magnificent views of hills and plains; sounds of the African nights, and stunning sunsets, make
this the most popular camp, and site, on any Kenya safari itinerary. Game drives can be done in the
Nyumbu Conservancy, which is just over 1000 acres; or the Olare Orok Conservancy, and in the Game
Reserve itself. Talek is only 7 Klms. from the Camp.

The camp is situated on 35 acres of leased land. It has its own borehole for water (which also assists
the local community.)

Access can be by road; or, by air to the Ol Kiombo airstrip, where there are frequent twice daily
scheduled flights.

Tents are at various levels to suit the whims of any traveller. All tents are en suite. 4 tents have been converted
to flushing toilets, and taps for the shower, and with solar hot water. The whole camp has solar power.

Local Tour Operators feed clientele to the camp, and this can be ongoing with new Management.

Maasai Security Guards from the Nyumbu Conservancy ensure the safety of Camp and Clients.

Walking is possible, and welcomed by clients. The local Manyatta serves as a cultural experience.
