It is a large Colonial Home (Circa 1890´s) in Merida´s Centro Historico district with a full Guest House (350-400 sq ft) located out back in the privacy of our lovely tropical gardens. It is completely furnished and includes SKY TV, High Speed Internet, private entrance, tropical gardens. Like another world yet a few minutes away from Paseo Montejo and the park and Plaza at Santa Ana and less than 15 minutes walk from Merida´s famous Central Zocalo, symphony, and ballet.

We also have two large rooms in the main house (ground floor)with optional private or shared bath, pasta tile floors, high beamed,colonial ceilings, a shared kitchenette, an in house gym, including a Pilates table and Wall Unit and other equipment, and access to the extensive, shared, tropical gardens and patio adjoining this rare and spacious home, named a National Historical Monument in 1984.

The first of the two inner rooms measures 16 x 16 feet and has 16 ft high beamed ceilings.

The second inner room (seperate but may be joined with the first) measures 16 x 20 feet and also has a sitting area besides the bed, armoir and other furniture.

Note: All fees payable in advance. Month to month occupancy is negotiable and will include first/last/plus deposit. There will be an additional $500 US deposit for pets and subject to owner´s approval on an individual basis. Pets will only be allowed with clients renting the guest house. No Pets in the main house please.

No smoking in house, guest house, or gardens. No non-prescription drugs of any kind. No renters or clients under 35 years of age. Maximum occupancy shall be 2 persons per habitation and those shall be limited to those registering at the beginning of their stay.

Substitution or change of guests shall not be permitted without prior notice and approval of management. For everyone´s security and peace of mind,ONLY paying guests are allowed in the house, rooms, or gardens at any time. No exceptions please.

Merida is famous for its thousands of social meeting and entertainment venues so guests are encouraged to take advantage of those during their stay and not bring non-paying guests onto the property for any reason. Breach of these simple rules may result in offending persons being asked to leave immediately and, should that happen, be advised that there will be no refunds of any kind under any circumstances. Period.

That said, Merida is the friendliest, safest city we have lived in, worked in, traveled to, or otherwise visited, and this is especially true of our neighborhood. As such, we plan to do our part and ask that our guests do their´s in keeping this residence and neighborhood as safe and pleasant as it has always been. Thank you for your understanding.
