With access to six lakes via boat or short portages our guests are never crowded, especially since we have limited our guest capacity to a maximum of eighteen guests.
In addition to the great fishing our guests can enjoy the peace, tranquility, solitude and unique beauty of our area. Photo opportunities of both scenery and wildlife abound! Our resort accommodates up to eighteen guests in five fully modern log guest cabins, equipped with electric lights, Hudson Bay blankets, propane heat, refrigerators and three-piece washrooms with showers.
Looking west onto a scenic bay, the log construction main lodge features a comfortable guest dining room where guests enjoy delicious, hearty home¬cooked meals, including mouth-watering deserts! The lodge's guest lounge, complete with a stone fireplace, offers a cozy, relaxed atmosphere where guests can gather for an after-dinner drink or just to share camaraderie and swap fish stories with their fellow anglers.
Slippery Winds Wilderness Resort has operated for over 30 years with many guests returning annually. The lodge's season runs from the third Saturday in May to the end of September. With a high number of repeat guests, a capacity of 18 guests and lakes each smaller than 10 square miles in area the resort can be operated with a small staff as guides are not required.
