Villa with Trulli for Sale in Cisternino, Apulia's Trulliland,, Italy

3-Trulli Villa,2-Acre Land,72 Olive Trees for Healthy Living

I expect you are familiar with Apulia (/regions/apulia/m)... well, your villa is in the heart of Apulia, in the very belly button of Itria Valley (/martinafranca2000/m) - the most reknown of the Murge valleys. Quite naturally, your villa is a "conical" villa, i.e. three cones of "trulli" for the three bedrooms, and three "lamie"... Lamia is NOT the mythological sea-monster sung by Keats, but simply a space with barrel vaulted ceiling, built next to a "trullo", that was used once by the farmers to essiccate their fruits. Nowadays "lamie" fulfill the house services (dining room, studio room, kitchen, bathroom, garage etc.). We are proud to offer you a complex of authentical trulli/lamie which have been restored with exceptional skill and passion to their original beauty and magic.

Before we describe the property, please take a trip with Google Earth to 40.44' .37.19" North and 17.22' .05.73" East: that's where the property is: right in the middle of the triangle formed by the towns of Locorotondo, Cisternino, Martina Franca. If you zoom out, you'll see how close we are to the beaches of the Adriatic Sea (less than 10 miles) and to the beaches of the Ionian Sea (about 20 miles. During the summer, we feel the wind and may choose the calmer of the two seas.

Although the house is currently inhabitated by only one couple, it could easily be split to house two small families. Indeed, the overall area measures close to 190 square metres and presently comprises three bedrooms, a large dining room, a studio room, two bathrooms, the kitchen. The most recent remodelling works (year 2004) have enriched the property with most modern comforts and services (current water, electricity, telephone, biological sewage system, heating). The heating system (radiators in each room) works with GPL (Liquid Propane Gas) stored in an underground tank; additionally we have placed a wooden stove in the entrance hall. A solar panel on the roof provides us with warm water. The roof offers a breathtaking view of the Itria valley. The land around the house, brown red and highly fertile, melts in with the whiteness of the trulli: in it all sorts of fruit trees, as well as decorative trees, planted and spontaneous vegetables, but mainly scores of precious olive trees. A large tank gathers the pluvial water from the gutters and proves to be a useful resource to water the garden during the hottest part of the summer.

If I were you and contemplating an enjoyable future in a charming Italian region, I wouldn't hesitate and would jump on the first plane to Bari or Brindisi airport. Give us a ring at 0039-347-257-3773 and we'll pick you up!
