Tranditionally foreigners are not allowed to buy landed properties in Singapore (they must apply for government's approval to do so,and there is a limit of the land size the person can purcahse, which is 15,000sqf). But Sentosa, being an island connected to the island Singapore, was given the green light by the government only recently to foreigners to own a landed house without going through application. Though the tenure is leasehold instead of freehold, the houses are built just in front of the sea and most of them come with a berth to park the boats. It is indeed the best from of properties available in Singapore.
