Charming Small Traditional House on Skiathos Island
Skiathos island recently featured in the film Mamma Mia. It is one of Greece's most beautiful islands and has enough beaches, shops, bars and restaurants to keep anyone happy!
The house is in a traditional part of town away from the main tourist complexes. It is a simple town house with a large sitting room/bedroom upstairs and a kitchen and bathroom downstairs. The main room has three large windows and is wonderfully light.
Outside there is a balcony overlooking the cobbled streets. A great place to take breakfast in the sun. Talking of which, the front of the house is bathed in sun from early in the morning to late afternoon. An olive tree and bourganvillia are in the front 'garden'.
The neighbours are generous, friendly people who will make you welcome, without being intrusive.
Reasonably-priced charter flights are available all summer. In winter you can reach the island with a stop in Athens.
