For the owners of the property, their friends and visitors, and the bed-and-breakfast guests Chissey offers another advantage. Not only is it pretty, well-located in the Parc du Morvan, and has the shop and garage etc but it is geographically almost exactly in the centre of Bourgogne (Burgundy).
It is therefore not only possible but easy-enough to set off on day-trips to visit most of the Michelin Guide sites recommended to visit in Burgundy, from Dijon (north) and Vezelay (west) to Beaune (west) and Macon and the Loire vinyards (south).
Finally, the property is fuel-efficient.
There is a 3000-litre gas-oil central-heating tank serving a relatively new (5-years old) state-of-the-art central heating and domestic-hot-water system with 16 radiators and towel rails.
The radiators have their own thermostatically-controlled valves (in addition to the sophisticated boiler controls). The tank will be full when the property is sold.
There will also be at least 10 cubic metres of well-seasoned firewood left on site.
