This magnificent, extraordinarily constructed Log Home is located near the village of Loye, 1000 meters above sea level. It is only a 15 minute drive to Vercorin and Nax ski resorts and a 30 min drive to Crans-Montana. It has 260 square meters living space and is situated on 4735 square meters of partially fenced land with room for expansion.
A natural construction method was used for this home that takes 3 years. When the trees were selected and cut in the Swiss forest they were given 1 year to dry. They were then precisely cut to the millimeter for a tight fit. Sheep and wood wool was used for the natural insulation materials. Absolutely no chemicals were used!
Solar panels are used for hot water because the valley location is known for its microclimate with many days of sunshine. A massive 2400 kg Finnish Tulikivi Spekstein Oven, an energy efficient wood stove, is used for heating. It will store the heat for 24 hours, then slowly release it to the rooms after burning.
The ground floor is made up of a huge living room with an open kitchen. There is a hallway, a bathroom and a bedroom. A very unique staircase that is made out of smoked oak wood and acazia leads to the first floor that consists of a gorgeous loft space, a bathroom, a bedroom and a 22 m2 balcony with a breath- taking view.
