Farm In The Ecuadorian Andes Near National Park

This 1,000 ha (approximately 2,500 acres) farm is located in the Southern part of the Ecuadorian Andes, only 7 km (4 miles) from the town of Yangana and 42 km (26 miles) from the famous valley of Vilcabamba.

The property has approximately 200 ha devoted to agricultural production, 50 ha of reforested area (pine trees) and 750 ha with natural forests. The areas devoted to agricultural production are all fenced.

The natural forested area of the farm is part and/or limits with the Podocarpus National Park and hence is ideal for the development of ecoturistic activities. This area has been called by scientists a "hot-spot” of biodiversity () given the exuberant and varied flora and fauna present in the area.

The farm has several creeks of clean water and a river that originate within the property. The farm also has a recently build cabin (accessible by car) with two bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom, in addition to an old cabin that can be used for storage and or remodeled.

The average temperature in the region is about 18.5 C (64.4 F) with a maximum of 29.6 C (85.3 F) and a minimum of 7.2 C (45 F) at an average altitude of about 2,200 m (7216 feet).
