Location
Near Aggtelek (Unesco heritage) (9 km), 46 km from Miskolc, 11 km from the Slovakian border, this Castle, once the home of the landlord of Ragály, can be found.

Facilities
The property is approached by the paved roads of the town. Electricity and drinking water are there. There is a gas junction. The sewer system goes by a closed sceptic container. The irregular-shaped lot is fully fenced. The garden is organized with grass and different kinds of trees and plants. The size of the plot is 15.000 m2.

The castle
The foundation of the building is intact and the draining of rainwater and underground water is perfectly resolved. There is a cellar with concrete floors divided in tree parts, of which the biggest room is 43 m2. The walls are made of bricks. The size of the castle is 536 m2 (50 in the cellar, 289 on the first floor, 197 on the second floor). On the first floor it has a kitchen, a dining room and 5 rooms and storage rooms. On the second floor it also has 5 rooms. The higth of the rooms is 4 to 5 meters. The castle has a big balcony and a terrace with extrodanairy views over the village and hills.

Renovation
The current owner is a Hungarian construction engineer with his own construction company. When he bought the castle it was a ruin. It was his hobby to renovate it, which he has done impressively well, using professional equipment, workers and architectonic design with a lot of respect for ancient building techniques and style. The onwner wants to sell it in order to further invest in equipement for his construction company.
The castle is not historical, but the environment was classified as a monument. Therefor certain rules of historic renovation must be complied with.
The building was built in neoclassical style with many architectonic details like the wooden floors, the doors, frames and the iron handrail of the stairs.
Much of the renovation work has been done, but it has not been completed yet. Some work, outside as well as inside still needs to be done.
The current owner is most willing to do this renovation for you, as and how you whish.
