Pipa beach has a breathtaking scenario formed by cliffs, dunes, exuberant ocean, natural pools, bays and semi-virgin beaches acclaimed by international critics as one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet. It’s the place to go for direct contact with nature.

Pipa Beach is nationally and internationally famous. So we have the chance to receive BOTH brazilian and foreign tourists. It’s known as the Global Village exactly for attracting people from all over the world. 90% of our guests are brazilians from the growing middle class. Some other hotels work more with europeans. The new owner can develop that market. There are also many tourists from Argentina(especially when it's cold in their country). Even if speaking english is useful in the area, you will have to learn portuguese because Brazil is like a continent and few people speak good english. It will take 2 or 3 months. It’s not a difficult language. Spanish speaking people can understand brazilians with no problem.

Pipa is more a village than a town but you can find cybercafes, bars, discos, restaurants (ranging from the rustic to the sophisticated) and shops selling clothes and handicraft. For the basics there are supermarkets, pharmacies, cash machines and other services. For major things there is a bigger city at 25 kms and the capital of the state ( NATAL ) is at one hour drive. There you can find everything you find in Europe and at really affordable prices because Brazil is a economicaly growing country and a huge market of 190 million people. Natal is considered as one of the safest cities of the country. As Pipa is a village crime level is close to zero.

The international airport of Natal receives flights from many european cities and some of them are direct charters.

The weather is just perfect. Sunny but not humid neither too hot thanks to the wind coming from the ocean. Of course wearing a super light shirt is enough 24 hours a day. It rains little and the showers are usually shorts.

Don't expect to get rich when running a small hotel. Live cool and get a decent income. I think that our hotel has a good location, that our prices are really competitive and that our place is one of the most charming ones in Pipa.

During almost all the weekends of the year the hotels are well booked and our pousada too. Prices go up sharply (3-4 times the normal price) and all the hotels are fully booked for special dates as Carnival, Holy Week, New Year's period ( during 5 days up to 5 times the normal price ), long weekends and national feast. Our hotel is full during brazilian holidays (January). December, February and March are also good months with brazilian tourists. In April, July, August, September and October there are many visitors during the weekends but it's quieter during the weekdays (except for special dates). In May and June it sometimes rains but we recieve guests during the weekends.

Of course there are many more europeans here when it's cold in their native countries. But we made no effort to attract them or to work with tour operators in Europe. The main reason is that so far we chose no to serve breakfast. Yes, we are a bit lazy... A new management with that option could do better.

Sometimes things don't work as fast as they do in Europe and the level of infrastructure is lower in the northeast than in the rich states of the south of Brazil but you get used to it.
