Historical Post Station in Slovakia

Historical Post Station/Inn situated in Slovakia, in the small village of Kozelnik. The major tourist road from Vienna-Bratislava-Nitra-Zvolen, leads through beautiful and pristine environment to city of Banska Stiavnica. This city and the whole surrounding area is an important UNESCO historical area, known for its mining past, thermal springs and healing spas.
The Post Station/Inn Kozelnik was built in the early 18th century, in baroque style. The historical research for the whole building and its details is available. The whole complex of the Building with 2 stables, large carved cellar and courtyard, is the only one of its kind left in Europe. It stands in its original but maintained condition. Structurally it is in very sound condition.
Kozelnik Post Station is a Cultural monument of the highest classification and therefore eligible for EU grants through Ministry of Culture in Slovakia or directly to EU for its partial or complete reconstruction.
All the major services, such as water, electricity and central heating, have been replaced.

There is a great potential for this monument. Bus stops on either side of the road, local train as well as the 1st class road in front of the house, can bring a large number of tourists. Any kind of tourist or business venture would succeed, such as restaurant, pension, inn, antique, art gallery, etc.
Kozelnik Post Station is completely livable, as we use it for our residence when we are in Europe.
