Historic B & B and Vacation Cottages for Sale in 300 Ferry St., Saugatuck-Douglas, Michigan, USA

Innkeeper’s Delight

Bob Newhart just dreamt about being an innkeeper, but you can make your dream come true at Deer Creek Cottages, our historic, lake view bed and breakfast in Saugatuck/Douglas, MI on the “dune” side of Saugatuck harbor. Featured in USA Today and Cottage Living, this charming property, in an even more charming community, is perfect for those who want a home that will pay for itself. Live on site and host interesting guests from all over the world during high season, then relax and enjoy the laid back atmosphere and camaraderie the locals enjoy during off season.

The property features the completely remodeled main home, which you can live in and maintain as a traditional B & B or keep separate for your family and 3 fully equipped free-standing cottages for guests. A couple could also easily live in one of the cottages, leaving the entire home as income producing – the possibilities and combinations are limited only by your family's needs and imagination. Surrounded by stately trees with spectacular views of the lake, the property is private, yet close to all to the amenities that attract visitors the region.

This was our dream property, but a job transfer to the Southeast and the need to purchase property there means that with a heavy heart we have to let new owners take over Deer Creek Cottages. But we are intent on finding the perfect owner to continue our dream and to that end will offer owner financing, lease to own and even consider trades for like property in the Southeast. If you like, our current innkeeper can even stay on to help you transition to your new lifestyle and teach you all the ins and outs of the property and the region.

Key features of the property include two fireplaces, high ceilings and original woodwork, a hot tub, private decks, a small pond with waterfall and much more.
