Restaurant Eden, Saba, Netherlands Antilles.
Located in Windwardside the busiest village on Saba, Restaurant Eden is in a beautiful location at the edge of the rainforest with views up to Mt. Scenery, the highest mountain in The Netherlands Kingdom (877m). It is walking distance from many hotels and in a area with other bars and restaurants. There has been a restaurant in this location since 1999 so it is well established in the market.

Terrace
The outdoor dining area is perfect for both day and night and could easily seat 30 people, we currently have permanent seating for 16, and add tables as we need them. During the day it is nice to shade under the umbrellas and is the first restaurant you come to arriving back in Windwardside after hiking Mt. Scenery. We also have the only trail shop on the island across the road. The island also has quite a few tourists on day trips that come over with either the plane or the catamaran. At night the torches are lit and you can hear the tree frogs in the rainforest. Most nights it is beautiful to dine outside.

Gazebo
The restaurant has a gazebo that seats up to 20 people, has a permanent roof and shelter from rain and wind on bad weather days.

Service Area
This could potentially be developed into a bar area. Currently there is some seating for people that are waiting for a table or just come by for a drink. Eden has a very good beverage selection. In the service area there is a double beverage fridge.

Kitchen
Fully operational kitchen with deep fryer, grill, oven with six burners, salad bar, au bain-marie, several work benches, microwave, toasters, blender, kitchen machine just to mention some. The china and glass ware was also replaced in November 2008.

Bakery
There is a bakery included in the restaurant. Currently this is rented by a baker who is running Eden Bakery as a separate unit. The bakery is operational six days a week and produces a wide selection of Dutch breads, pastries, sweets and other items for grocery shops and hotels/restaurants. The agreement with the bakery could either be terminated or continued. To be discussed.

Office/ Storage room
There is plenty of space for dry storage in the office/storage room. Currently this is used for wine, beverages and other dry items.

Restroom
There is a unisex toilet with the restaurant.

Storage shed
This is used for dry store of non-food items, in the shed you also have a Generator. As Saba is an island with only one diesel power plant, it happens that we experience a power out. Lambee’s Place, which is the building complex the restaurant is located in has a generator on site. Not many other restaurants have this, so it means you can still be fully operational even with power outs.

Saba in general
Saba is called the unspoiled queen as it is a different Caribbean island with no cruise ships and mass tourism, instead there is red roofed gingerbread cottages in small villages and 1600 residents. Mainly tourists come to the island for diving, hiking and relaxation. There is also a American medical university with almost 400 students.

Immigration and Work permit on Saba
We have asked at the immigration department and as long as one has a clean police record and making a investment on the island there is no problems getting temporary residency on Saba for most nationalities.

Please note that the buildings are leasehold but every thing else is owned and now for sale. We are selling the restaurant as we now have a little son and would like to move back to Europe.
