This is one of the most exclusive beach front homes in the quaint town of Olon.
Excellent highways lead you from Guayaquil up the Ruta de Sol to this white sand wide five mile long stretch of beach with warm swimable and surfable waters year round. This home features many architectural marvels including a sweeping curved stairway with brass railings, large built in stained glass pieces, curved walls enclosing indoor gardens, domed ceilings, sunken living room, party size freshly tiled hot tub and too many things to possibly mention here. Relaxing on the broad tile terrace under the sun, or under a thatched palapa, is nothing short of pure joy. Fresh oysters in the shell delivered to your door each morning and gigantic prawns that local fishermen bring into shore almost every evening right in front of your home, make the mediteranean cuisine offerings here, as incredible as you can find anywhere in the world...and they are inexpensive too. Pilsoner, the Ecuadorian beer, is less than a dollar and second in the quality of refreshment only to cold coconut water, available in abundance in every neighborhood, typically drunk out of a straw, right from the coconut. There is a 24 hour guard and gardener residence next door and quality maid service is just as close. This home has lots of marble and quality tile work, including the hot/cold tub. There are mature plantings surrounding the house including fruit and coconut trees. This compound is made up mostly of Americans with other foreign nationals close by. Two doors away a professor of Spanish from University of Melbourne, holds Spanish and English classes regularly on the sand in front of her home. The local people are friendly and quality craftsmen,tradesmen and women are always available at prices that are about 10 to 20% of US workers in the same field. This is a very nice comfortable house. I reluctantly need to sell it, due to personal health reasons.
