Lolog is a gorgeous fishing district. Located about 12 km northwest of the city of San Martin de los Andes, it holds the city's chief supply of pure drinking water. For this reason it was qualified as a Protected Nature Areas in 1994.

It is bordered by high hillsides, blanketed in forests of colihue cane, as well as high trees, such as roble pellín, rauli and cypresses that dye the hillsides in copper and orange in fall. Around you can find animals such as red deer, wild boar, foxes, hares and wild ducks are frequently seen. Its grayish-green waters abound with salmon.
