You will realize why our condo is named “Relax Place” when you walk along the beautiful 8 mile stretch of beach of Playa Barqueta......when the sound of waves lulls you to sleep..... you float around the huge pool surrounded by swaying palm trees......or during your morning horseback ride in the surf......while you kayak through the pristine estuaries enjoying the natural beauty of Barqueta......or when you enjoy your favorite drink on the balcony while watching a breathtaking sunset over the Pacific Ocean.

If you are looking for a peaceful environment filled with natural beauty where you can completely unwind and relax, but you also want all the modern conveniences and necessities -- THIS IS IT.

“Relax Place” is Condo #505 at Brisas del Mar on Playa Barqueta beach. It is a furnished, fully equipped, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on the 2nd floor. The master bedroom and living room and balcony all have sweeping views of the beach and ocean. The other two bedrooms have views of Volcan Baru in the distance. Baru is an inactive volcano and the highest point in Panama.

Central air conditioning keeps every room cool and comfortable; or if you prefer, open the windows and enjoy the ocean breezes and the sound of the surf. Sliding door and all windows have screening. The living room and master bedroom both have access to the balcony which has reclining chaise lounges.

The living room is furnished with extremely comfortable leather furniture. Sit back and relax in total comfort on the sofas or the Lazy Boy recliner as you enjoy the large flat screen TV, watch movies with the DVD player, or pop your ipod into our docking port with speakers. There is a second TV in one of the bedrooms.

“Relax Place” bedrooms have new hypo-allergenic foam mattresses -- King bed in Master Bedroom, Queen bed in Bedroom 2, and two Single beds in Bedroom 3 -- and plenty of bed linens and pillows. The 3 bedrooms are all nicely furnished and have good closet space with hangers. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and room darkening window coverings.

High speed Wifi internet allows you to use your computer in every room, however Bedrooms 2 and 3 both have desks for those who need a place to sit and work -- but hopefully not for too long -- this is “Relax Place” after all.

Each bathroom has a vanity with granite countertop, shelves in the shower, medicine cabinet, shower head on the wall plus additional handheld shower head, loads of fluffy towels, and multiple hooks for robes and towels. For pool and beach use, there are large beach towels in the linen closet.

WOW what a kitchen -- modern wood cabinetry with long granite countertops and stainless steel appliances -- refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and stove/oven with ceramic cooktop. Everything you need for just a snack or to prepare a gourmet meal -- dishes, glasses, silverware, wine glasses, utensils, chefs knives, beer mugs, pots and pans, coffee maker, blender, toaster, cutting board, oven mitts and kitchen towels. The granite extends beyond the kitchen as a bar countertop area with swivel bar stools. Adjacent to the kitchen is the laundry room with washer and dryer.

Brisas del Mar Condominium is next to the Las Olas Resort. The resort consists of a hotel, work out room, pool, tennis courts, and the beautiful air conditioned La Abigail Restaurant. The restaurant also has an outdoor patio where you can enjoy watching and listening to the ocean while dining. In addition to serving 3 meals everyday, special holiday dinners are served in the dining room, including American holidays such as Thanksgiving. La Abigail serves great food at reasonable prices in a beautiful atmosphere. For a more lively evening, try the Bar Azul, adjacent to La Abigail Restaurant, where you can dance, sing karaoke, watch a sports event or just relax, have a drink and some great conversation in a tropical setting with an ocean view.

Horseback riding, kayaking, fishing trips, zip line adventures, sightseeing tours, and various outdoor venues can be arranged through the front desk at the hotel.

On the other side of Brisas del Mar are 3 more restaurants serving drinks and inexpensive meals.

The City of David is a short 25 minute drive from Playa Barqueta. David is the second largest city in Panama and it boasts 4 hospitals, casinos, movie theaters, abundant shopping, many modern American style supermarkets and stores, a wide variety of restaurants, and the recently expanded David Airport.

“Relax Place” offers the best of all worlds -- the peace, beauty and tranquility of the beach and ocean -- yet a short drive to David for shopping, restaurants, nightlife, casinos and movie theaters.
