1 YOU WILL NEED TO GO TO THE AFM (GREEK TAX OFFICE) AND GET A TAX NUMBER, THIS YOU WILL NEED FOR ALLSORTS OF THINGS, FOR THIS YOU JUST NEED YOUR PASSPORT.

2 YOU WILL NEED TO OPEN A GREEK BANK ACCOUNT, THIS IS TO SHOW THAT ANY MONEYS BROUGHT INTO THE COUNTRY TO BUY THE VILLA IS LEGAL, ALL YOU NEED IS YOUR PASSPORT TO OPEN ONE AND TAX NUMBER, AND REMEMBER TO SAVE ALL YOUR PINK SLIPS FOR YOUR ACCOUNTANT TO SHOW TO THE TAX MAN.

3 WHEN YOU BUY THE HOUSE YOU ARE ALSO BUYING A CAR, AND IN GREECE YOU NEED A RESIDENTS PERMIT TO OWN ONE, SO TO GET THIS, ITS OFF TO THE POLICE STATION WITH YOUR TAX NUMBER, PASSPORT AND FOUR PASSPORT PHOTOS, AND PROOF YOU OWN A PROPERTY IN GREECE, AND THIS CAN TAKE UP TO OR OVER A WEEK TO GET ONE, AND THAT’S BEFORE I CAN SIGN OVER THE CAR TO YOU.

Aritomenis village is within walking distance from our villa. With 2 schools, Doctor, pharmacist, bakery, butcher, small supermarket, sub PO, KEP office and caféneons and tavernas and there is also a petrol station/garage which sells much more than just petrol!
The KEP office is a god send for help and sorting any problems including legal ones, they speak English too. The KEP office is like an English CAB office but can do a bit in Greek legal work.

Aristomenis, is a great walking area so you can keep fit, and is a great natural area and not forgetting Aristomenis’s tomb that is not too far away.

The local beach, to drive to the beach is 25 minutes just in case you want to feel sand under your feet and the sea to swim in, but then you will have a salt water pool of your own to swim that tastes far less salty.
The saltiness of the pool is that of a tear drop.
The olive oil from the Aristomeni along with its 2 sister villages is considered to be some of the finest in Greece so you can own a part of it.
The house is an ongoing project, so things change and will keep changing only for the good of the house, till sold.
One thing that has changed is the outside of the has a repaint along with the summer kitchen, this a long with minor building improvements.
