A great alternative to a hotel stay when you need just a little more room to spread out. Also an opportunity to cook when you want to in a modern kitchen. An opportunity to step outside on your private garden terrace for a breath of fresh air, or to lounge with a cup of coffee. There are wide Terraces on three sides of the Penthouse with all rooms opening to a deck through wide sliding glass doors. Great views of Old Town and the mountains surrounding Cuenca. All for about the same price or less than a Central District hotel room.

Located in the building called, "Edificio La Fragata", at Av. Solano and Av. Mora. 5th floor, Apt. 505-1.
The Penthouse is located on the 6th floor. The building elevator goes to the 5th floor, and a private elevator and stairs access the Penthouse level.

Penthouse consists of 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths (with walk-in/roll-in shower), living room with dining for 6, laundry room and large, private rooftop terrace with panoramic views overlooking the City.

KITCHEN: Lots of light. "Universal design". Sliding doors to roof deck. Large window over sink. Granite counter tops. All new appliances, including five burner stovetop and wall oven, dishwasher, microwave. side-by-side refrigerator/ freezer. Other kitchen appliances include electric pot for heating water, blender, electric coffee pot and toaster. New pots and pans. Dishes and glass ware.

IN-APARTMENT LAUNDRY. New front-load clothes washer and gas dryer. Iron/ironing board included.

NEIGHBORHOOD: The building in which the units are located has a coffee shop, bakery, and an Ital-Deli next door. There is a small store (like a 7-11) across the street. A couple 100 yards from the Mount Sinai Hospital.

DISTANCE TO EL CENTRO (old town). About 10-15 minute, level walk to Old Town, depending upon your pace and acclimation to the altitude.

SECURITY: 24/7 security guard on the premise. Each bedroom has a programmable safe.

OCCUPANCY: Maximum 4 people. Adults only.
Two bedrooms.
"Universal design". Master: New queen-size bed with walk-in closet that accesses a two-sink bathroom with roll/walk-in shower, plus hair dryer. Second Bedroom: Two new twin-beds with build-in closet with two sets of drawers. Linens and towels included.

TV: Direct Cable TV. 32" flat screen.

INTERNET: (WIFI). Approximate speed is 1000kps.

RATES: SHORT TERM: Ten (10) Night Minimum. $75 per night.
MONTHLY RATE: $1,500 per month.

DEPOSITS: $100 security/damage deposit (refundable); Key Deposit: $25 change per set to security deposit if lost. $35 charge to security deposit if garage door opener is lost. $30 exit cleaning fee (non- refundable).

CELL PHONE: One activated cell phone is provided. $70 charge to security deposit if lost. Guests pay for minutes/cards, or pay for additional minutes at "Supermaxi" food stores. Additional minutes may be purchased for your phone at the check-out counter of certain food and drug stores.

GROUND TRANSPORT: We will arrange for one complimentary taxi transport from Cuenca's airport to the Fragata Penthouse with an English-speaking taxi driver. You pay for return. If you enter Cuenca by other means of transport, or at other locations other than the airport and/or at unscheduled times, other charges for pick-up may apply.

SORRY, NO PETS AND NO VISITING PETS
We often rent to persons who are under doctor's care at the nearly hospital. Some have severe allergies. Doctor's orders.

METHOD OF PAYMENT: Payment for your reservation is made through our Paypal account with the same name as our email address:

Refundable deposits will be returned to your Paypal account within 10 days of departure. No cash.

No confirmed reservation until all monies due are paid in full.
