Boca Chica has long been undiscovered. When we bought this property years ago it was part of a cattle ranch. Boca Chica is a small and picturesque town that forms the entrance to the open sea an to the Marine Park Chiriqui. The local people here have always used to make their living both fishing and raising cattle; now with the development of several toursim related businesses in the Boca Chica area, a lot of the villagers are working in tourism, offering whale watching tours and eco trips to the many many gorgeous un-inhabited islands the area is boasting.

We alo highly recommend Brad and Lupitas place on the point of Boca Brava island, just a short boat ride from the port. This young couple from the US have put a lot of effort and love in creating a fantastic environment for a lunch with good friends or with your partner. Very nice, great food! Their hotel is very friendly and caters also to medium budget travelers, they even offer hammocks!

Over the years several interesting people from all over the world have settled here in Boca Chica and on the islands. It is easy to find friends here, to share the fun with.

For shopping and medical services and car care and so on, you make a short 45 minutes drive to David on an all paved road. David has everything a medium sized town in the US has to offer, and at half the prices.
The David Airport is currently being expanded to recieve direct flights out of Miama and Orlando. From David you can fly to Panama city in under an hour, or to Costa Rica in an hour and a half.
