Only 5 minutes to one of the most stunning beaches in the world. Explore miles of abandoned beach within the Marino Ballena National Park and home to Costa Rica's famous Whale's Tale.

30 minutes to the south, on the coastal highway, is the the new hospital in Cortez.

A few miles further south in Palmar Norte is where site planning has begun for Costa Rica's newest international airport.

Our prefered mode of transportation is driving 45 minutes north to the Quepos' private airport. Enjoy one of the many daily 30 minute scenic flights to and from Quepos and San Jose (SJO). 

If you prefer, drive the newly completed paved coastal highway directly from San Jose to Uvita. It is a smooth, stress free drive taking 3.5 hours.

The scenic route through the mountains is another choice but the longest.
