Farm for Sale in Bocas Del Toro, Panama

Bocas Del Toro Rice and Cattle Farm

Located in the province of Bocas del Toro, the farm has an area of 1500 hectares of which approximately 500 hectares are intended for the cultivation of rice, 800 hectares dedicated to livestock breeding and fattening, 100 hectares in primary forest and the rest are 100 hectares in forested pasture boundaries. Currently there are about 60 pastures for grazing.

There are 2 large homes in good condition, and in the area there are 7 houses for employees. Similarly, the estate has 4 pens of wood, of which there are 2 chutes of iron for the treatment of livestock. There is also 1 tractor, 1 sled and 1 spray pump with a capacity of 600 gallons. There is a large galley and an additional house under construction. In livestock production, there are 950 animals of which 500 are fattening steers and 450 animals shared between cows, calves, heifers, calves and bulls in inventory. The sleeves of grazing are mainly planted in Tanner, there is some Alice, some German and some with bracharias decumbes and brizantha. The pastures are generaly cleaned up and maintained by tractor and the estate has access roads throughout..

In regard to the planting of rice, two crops a year will grow and their productivity is by the order of 100 to 120 quintals per hectare. There is the potential to generate an additional harvest provided that the investment is made so that you can flood the land.

The farm would also support water buffalo for the production of milk and related products. This a turnkey estate ready to make the most of the livestock and agricultural potential. We believe that the farm can have up to 4 animals per hectare as the grasses that are currently planted are high in nutrients and weather conditions are good. For this purpose it is necessary to invest in reducing sleeves in smaller fenced lots for better management of grazing. This would raise the cattle population to around 3,200 animals.
