Luxury Long Term Rental Jerusalem 400M Ramat Eshkol Area

Neighborhood

Tucked away as a well kept secret is the up and coming suburban orthodox neighborhood of Givat HaMivtar. This is an exclusive neighborhood that starts with the street Midbar Sinai and snakes up the side of a mountain until at the very top it turns off into a horseshoe street called Mitzarei Tiran. This is a neighborhood of villas exclusively, built roughly 33 years ago after the six day war. Hence, the names reflect the history, the entry street is called “Six Day War”, Sinai and the Staights of Tiran (Mitzarei Tiran). It is from this very location that the Ammunition Hill fortress was built for the six day war and was subsequently won.

The streets are lush with trees and chirping birds like an out-of-town paradise tucked away from the busyness of Jerusalem hustle and bustle. When you open your window you will hear the rustling off the palm trees and the sweet sounds of nature. The only cars driving by are your neighbors. Historically, this mountain is in the Har HaTzofim area of Biblical times, it was deemed as the furthest place from Old City Jerusalem which is stilled deemed as a part of original Jerusalem. This is because in Mishnaic times from this very point on the mountain, they would stand with torches and sign to the priests standing on Temple Mount with their torches. In fact, this particular property is one of the very few properties in the neighborhood which has a view of the temple mount. On the top floor which is a 140 sq meter veranda which has a panoramic view of the entire Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount, Mount Olives etc. In the summer, we fill a large swimming pool on the top floor and enjoy a five star vacation everyday of the week.

At the same time, the neighborhood is very conveniently located next to all major roads. Within a few seconds, you are on either; road #1 (kvish ached) which takes you to the Western Wall in 8 minutes, Road #9 which takes you to the exit of the city and all other parts of the city as a quick highway, Highway #443 which is the quick road to the airport and other destinations up North. At the heel of the neighborhood is Ramat Eshkol, the very popular American community which has a strip shopping center of every store you could need, including 5 banks, a post office etc. and many kosher restaurants.

Within a few minutes walk are three shuls, Charedi, Mizrachi and Sefardi. Most recently the Charedi shul opened and is already bursting at the seams.
