Restaurant and party center “the Garden” is located at a busy main-road at Cole Bay, very near to well-known restaurants and the Caribbean Cinemas at an important area of arten (Dutch Antilles) Nightlife.
The leased land is 2000 m2 /0,5 acres, inside the garden-wall 1350 m2 plus outside 650 m2 for parking.
The lease of the land is 3 + 3 + 4 years and cost $ 3500. – per month. The land has 3 levels.
Outside along the road on the garden-wall 5 billboards size 122 x 244/4 x 8 ft (illuminated) with 8 pictures of the attractions plus 2 black-boards and a large illuminated sign with the logo of “the Garden”

On the third level is situated the big party-tent with 9 large tables and 70 chairs, ceiling fans with lights, the 55 KVA generator (in a very good condition), four 3-crown light-pools, 2 lounge-groups with 20 seats, Heineken umbrella’s, the technical area and a lovely dog-house for Max, our sweet Doberman.
Also on the third level the restaurant with separate dish-room, the bar and a state of the art stainless steel professional kitchen. There is a lady’s and men’s bathroom both with mirror and face-basin. The new windows and doors have “Termopane”= double glass for isolation, the partly new roof and the whole floor and all walls are also isolated to save on energy for the 3 AC’s
The bar (with 8 bar chairs) is made from cabinets made in Italy containing; 2 fully integrated refrigerator/freezers, 2 wine-coolers, 2 Miele coffee-machines, 1 under counter ice-cube machine, an integrated dishwasher, a microwave and in the base-unit for the sink a reverse-osmosis (water filter) for the second faucet on the double sink. The doors a made in oak veneers dark-brown colored, the bartop is solid wood and the countertop is made of beautiful “steel grey” polished granite. In this countertop is flush integrated a Franke double stainless steel sink and also a Smeg 5 burner with a 180 cm/70” black cooker-hood above. Next to the bar a 3-doors cabinet with frosted glass-doors for all kinds of glassware.
The dishroom (behind the bar) has an open window where the waitresses bring in the dirty dishes (these dishes don’t go to the kitchen; no contamination!) collecting, scraping, rinsing, fast hot washing, checking the dishes and back to the kitchen via the open window next to the bar. In this room is also the storage for the drinks etc. the bottle/can-cooler, the big ice-cubes machine and the second grease-filter. Next-door the new brakerbox and water filter for the ice-cubes.
The restaurant has an open window to this beautiful kitchen to show the guests that the prepared food comes out of a well organized and very clean kitchen; the waitresses collect the food from this window. There are 2 sizes of wooden tables and 50 chairs all imported from Holland and very nice/strong. A side-table for the hard-ware, napkins etc. is placed under this window.
The professional kitchen has all the appliances (a.o. Vulcan stove and oven, Electrolux freestanding stainless steel refrigerator and freezers. All countertops are on the same height, the same depth and there are no gaps in-between (easy to clean); there is a warm and cold section and in total a joy for the chef and his assistants to work in. All tools are present and almost brand-new!
In fact everything is almost brand-new and in a good shape and with the many outdoor lights and the full-grown shrubs, trees and palm-trees a fantastic ambiance with a touch of romance, there were already, amongst others, several wedding-parties.
Why this project is on sale? The developers are originally kitchen-designer-sellers and because there were lately less kitchen buyers, one decided to create “the Garden” but one has now to admit that they are lacking the knowledge/experience to run a place like this. Also because one of the owners will turn 65 in December. A younger couple, eventually with “our” very experienced chef should run this place. The official opening was on December 16 2010.
