Tropical Paradise Dream Home with American Features

Once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase a vacation or retirement home with an ocean view. I am American and I personally built this home myself from the earthquake safe foundation up to the full length back terrace overlooking Mahajual Beach and the ocean. The self-sustaining spacious paradise features authentic Italian and Spanish tile floors in cool green colors throughout and including the outside terrace, with contrasting warm marfil and amazon green walls and trim inside and out. Washed concrete window sills support intricate ironwork, handmade to decorate the front windows and hold yearround tropical plants. Handpainted tiles built into outdoor and indoor walls add to the beauty of this gracious abode. Washed concrete steps lead to the archway shaped front door which opens into the living room furnished with a sofabed and glasstop tables, focusing on an original one-piece table handcarved from a tropical tree. An open archway leads into the dining room which boasts a religious handpainted mosaic encrusted in the wall, the Lord's Supper handtooled in leather and a built-in washed concrete pedestal, which forms the dining room table with plexiglass top. A very large laundry room allows plenty of room for storage and is furnished with a washer, dryer and extra large sealed concrete water storage. A gas stove in the country kitchen is accompanied by electric refrigerator, hot and cold water dispensor and microwave oven, all of which are surrounded by handpainted tile featuring chickens, roosters, eggs and chicken wire fence. The kitchen door opens into the garage, making a handy entrance for groceries. Behind these rooms, a hallway connects two full baths with beautiful green and marfil tile and fixtures. Two of the three bedrooms include balcony style doors that open onto the back terrace, where an unlimited amount of hammocks await to be occupied during the siesta hour or any other time. The most outstanding feature, in my opinion, is the view. I had the backyard landscaped by building a rock wall topped by a cyclone fence, hauling in rich black earth and planting Japanese grass with plants such as Birds of Paradise and Coconut Trees. This tropical refuge has the best of both worlds because it's height makes it safe from hurricanes without losing it's breathtaking ocean view. The home's east garden is adorned by an abundance of fruit trees such as orange and different classes of mango. The north property has banana trees, papaya, eggplant, ancient classic mango, lime, laurel and blazing orange flowered "fire trees". This north property area has produced rich corn harvests, but is also an excellent space for construction. The ten by ten cubic foot water cistern is an amazing feature and doubles as a patio. I would be more than happy to familiarize you with the community and answer your questions.
