Construction: Built in the 1940's, Construction is Mixto - i.e. Termite resistant wood beams were placed vertically and horizontally to frame in the house. Then sheets of crushed bamboo were affixed to the outer walls and then covered with concrete similar to a stucco exterior. The floors were poured concrete with ceramic tile throughout the first floor. The second floor is made of wood.
