Amidst the giant eastern white pines and surounded by thousands upon thousands of acres of uninhabited crown lands guests are treated to a true Canadian wilderness experience with simple yet luxurious accommodation reminicent of eras past.

Originally constructed in the 1940’s by American industrialist Seabury Stanton, the lodge has been completely modernized while remaining true to it heritage.

Guests enjoy everything a fine inn has to offer. From comfortable beds, luxurious linens and towels to the little touches like bathrobes and amenities baskets, great care is taken to provide our guests with the very best of comfort. All guest suites have two double beds and private ensuite bathrooms.

There is plenty of room to relax and indulge in whatever activity you desire The veranda is a favorite spot for quiet times gazing over the river and the home pool while listening gurgle of Sabbies River meeting the Cains or a theraputic soak in the tannin waters of the cedar hot tub.

Thousands upon thousands of acres of wilderness surround you. Moose, whitetail deer and black bears are common sightings and every season offers its own special treat. Early summer brings wildflowers and strawberries, then wild raspberries give way to late summer fields laden with blueberries. As the season nears its end the woods come alive with fall colors. Miles of private trails systems and roads offer limitless hiking and mountain-biking, bird watching, nature and wildlife observation.

The Lodge's kitchen interprets local and international cuisine from traditional recipes and seasonal sources of local delicacies. Intertwining modern cooking technique, foraging, sustainalbe harvesting and local seafood to create a uniquly eastern Canadaian dining experience.

For the angler Camp Stanton owns over 5 kilometers and 18 private pools on the Cains River. Guests also have the opportunity to fish private water on all branches of the Miramichi system.
