La Veranda is one of few, if not the only, mid-range ($140 per night for all inclusives to $10 a bed per night for hostels) places to stay and eat in Bocas Del Toro. It has seven rooms, five with ensuite baths, all ceramic tiled floors in the bathrooms and two rooms that share a bath. The two rooms that share a bath each have two single beds which can be pushed together to form a double.
One room has a queen size bed and a private bath, small refrigerator, 32" plasma, cable TV and optional a/c;
another room...e hostel room.... has five single beds, up and down; a private bath, fans and optional a/c;
another room has a queen bed, 32" plasma, cable TV with a private bath and optional a/c;
two more rooms have two twin beds each which could be pushed together to form a double and share a bath outside the room, no a/c is available in these two rooms, just fans;
another room has a king size bed and two single beds with a private bath, 32"plasma, cable TV, a small refrigerator and optional a/c;
anther room has a double bed, a private bath, a beautiful wall crab lamp and optional a/c and is downstairs.

There is another room downstairs that is the Owner's guestroom and has two single beds which could be pushed to form a double bed, in it. It can take overflow from upstairs because it has it's own entrance (albeit through the laundry area) There is a shared bath downstairs although NOT with the owner.

The property is completely fenced and all rooms are different. All rooms have fans or optional electricity (except #4 and #5, no a/c) for an extra charge and mosquito nets. Rooms take 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 guests

It has seating on the veranda for eight, including two rocking chairs and a glass table with four chairs and a full kitchen with oven/stove, refrigerator, small toaster oven, dishes and flatware.

The owner's quarters downstairs has an eat-in kitchen with a lockable refrigerator, a stove/oven, a microwave and a glass table with four chairs combined with an open (but covered)living area, a large bedroom with a 52" TV and a private bath with a tub/shower, a guestroom and an office, complete with a computer, fax machine, phone and printer. There is a/c in this room and extractor fans that can carry the a/c to the OQ bedroom and guestroom.

There is a storage area and a rather rustic room that could be used for a driver or rented out long term by the OQ patio which has a cracked tile surface.
