Mopane Bush Lodge is a tranquil bush retreat with attentive personal service at affordable rates. It is ideally located for visits to Mapungubwe National Park and the ancient Kingdom of Mapungubwe, a World Heritage Site.

The lodge offers luxury fully catered accommodation in eight secluded twin bedded en-suite thatched chalets, one wheelchair friendly, each within its own kraal incorporating a private veranda and an outdoor shower. Delicious meals, simply prepared, are served in our spacious dining room, in the boma around a fire under the stars or in the lapa around the pool.

The lodge arranges guided tours to the following attractions:
• Mapungubwe National Park
• Mapungubwe World Heritage Site, the hill of the 13th Century Kingdom of Mapungubwe
• Special Limpopo San Rock art
• Tracking lions led by a researcher

Mopane Bush Lodge nestles in the Mopane Bushveld on our private 6000ha nature reserve, which is a game farm, breeding plains game.

Activities on the nature reserve included in the rate are:
• Bush drives, game tracking, walking, birding and cycling in a safe environment with the option of a guide.

Most of the guests staying at the lodge are international with only 35% from South Africa. 30% of the guests are from Germany, followed by Dutch, UK, Swiss and Australian.
