The Property

The property is situated on 3.75 acres above the newly paved, main road to the city and beach, and is an easy walk to the Malecon (downtown). A breathtaking view overlooks the beautiful Bay of Samana (the city of Samana is currently a major cruise ship destination with over 200 slated for next year). Directly across the street from the property, a new Angsana Resort/Villa/Marina complex is being constructed (angsanasamanabay). The southerly facing land has been terraced and planted with over 200 fruit trees. Elsewhere, in excess of 100 mahogany trees and 20 cedar trees have been planted. Already 15 grown mango trees are on the property, some of which are said to be the oldest on the Samana Peninsula.

Bahia Charters

12 moorings and a floating dock in the Bay of Samana (to rent to visiting sailors), all of the highest quality.

Thousands of dollars worth of rental equipment for the bay, such as kayaks, snorkel & fins, water skis, kneeboards and tubes…most all of which is new.

Bahia Larimar

Larimar is a light blue stone, commonly sold to tourists in the form of jewelry, that is only mined in Barahona, Dominican Republic. There is no other mine in the world.

The second guest house is fully equipped with all the machinery to make beads out of stone automatically. (All beads today sold in the Dominican Republic are ground and polished by hand.)

The manufacturing process includes cutting the stone into cubes, removing the edges, specialized diamond grinders bead the stone, the stone is then polished. All is done automatically with supplied equipment. It is then drilled with diamond bits and finally assembled into a finished product, such as bracelets or necklaces.
