The historic Bromley Estate, one of the best-known of Jamaica’s estate houses, is the last remaining property of the late Sir John Pringle, who at one time owned over 30 sugar, banana and beef cattle properties throughout the island.

The property of some 149 acres, consists of a main house with two master suites with private bathrooms and verandahs with a third bedroom and bathroom are on the main level. The lower level has twin bedrooms with bathrooms, a large living area and a games room with billiards plus large storage area. The main level also features a large living room with verandah access for great entertaining and a formal dining room. There are kitchen facilities and a washroom with washer and dryer. The oldest part of the house dates back to the eighteenth century and gun slits through the cut-stone walls are still in evidence on the lower floor. Many of the out buildings have been converted into rental cottages for either long term or short term rental and as part of the retreats.

Bromley has been run as a cattle breeding property and recently has been the venue for retreats for the arts and yoga, with many overseas visitors enjoying the unhurried ambiance of this very special place A portion of the property has been surveyed and approved for subdivision by the relevant authorities.
