This 12th century village is 20 mins from the coast of Ventimiglia or Bordighera, 45 mins from Nice international airport (Easyjet, BA,BM,etc), 1.5hrs from Genes airport (Ryanair)and 2.5 from Milan airport.
Pigna is steeped in history and a way of life that can only be dreamed about by most people, we do have quite a few Danish, Canadians, British and Americans that have found the sun and peace in the village. The way of life is so easy and healthy. There are fireflies in the air from April to October a sure sign of heathy air.
The village has a great pizzeria with live music on a Saturday night, an ice-cream parlour with fruit ice-cream from their own trees and bushes (try the kiwi mmmmm), 3 star restaurant with amazing home made food from the region and a wine cave to die for. A bank, a post office, two hairdressers, a doctors surgery, three small grocery shops.
Tennis courts and a football field, lots of trails and hiking paths for one hour to 12 hours, amazing views and trips around.
School from ages 3 to 14.
