Waterfall Villa on Vanua Levu Island

Water Fall Villa is an architecturally striking Indonesian design and securely solid house built with poured reinforced concrete foundation and walls tied to solid basalt bedrock. The house sits on an elevated lot with great views, privacy and cooling Trade Winds and just a few minutes from the beach and views of Koro Sea and Koro Island.

There are three bedrooms and two baths, a fully equipped kitchen with a solid hardwood bar separating the kitchen and open living area. There is an office that can serve as a fourth bedroom on the main level, swimming pool and detached garage. The villa contains 2375 square feet of covered area: 1710 square feet of living area. Construction was completed in 2007.

Each of the eight walls on the main floor contains a French door made of local hardwoods and clear louvered windows between corner pillars to maximize the view, breezes and lighting. The large windows on the lower level are framed with local hardwoods as well. The covered veranda extends around the entire house.

Each lower level bedroom has a dedicated air-conditioning unit, while a large air-conditioning unit serves the main level. The striking main level ceiling is made of long, thick Fiji pine beams meeting at a five foot smoked Plexiglas skylight supporting a Dakua Salusalu ceiling over which is hurricane membrane and metal roof with hurricane clips. The solid bar top separating the kitchen and open living area is made of one Vesi hardwood log and coordinates with the internal house trim also of Vesi.

The kitchen and baths have granite countertops. The cabinets in the kitchen and baths are custom made of Dakua Salusalu with imported bamboo panels. Extensive basalt rockwork has been incorporated into the architecture, including a large spiral stairway resting on an interesting basalt outcrop and a large outdoor shower off the main bath. The spiral stairs can accommodate a tropical umbrella.

A 22x18 foot pentagonal pool with basalt waterfall, underwater lighting and infinity edge hangs interestingly off the front of the house and provides awesome views of the Koro Sea, Koro Island and tropical vegetation below.

Both bathrooms have double decorative bowl sinks. The lower level bath has an indoor shower, while the main floor bath has a large outdoor shower with two shower heads and beautiful views of the rain trees overhead. The laundry facilities rest on shelves within the master bathroom for main level convenience.

The fully equipped kitchen has a double stainless sink, electric countertop burners, oven, exhaust fan, dishwasher and refrigerator. Soffit lighting over this counter adds atmosphere, featuring the beautiful cabinets and spacious work area.

The home is fully furnished with 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, 2 queen inflatable Aerobeds and 4 single inflatable Aerobeds for additional sleep accommodations. In addition 64 pieces of solid teak furniture were imported from Bali to furnish the home. All furniture, window coverings, linen, bedding, towels, dishes, glassware, flatware and small appliances stay with the home (including propane gas BBQ grill) and two large propane bottles.

A 365 square foot detached garage with architecture matching the house sits at the base of the driveway up a short lighted walkway from the house. Guest parking is available on the parking pad at the top of the driveway.

The grounds around the house are tropically landscaped to add to the large variety of native grasses, bushes and spectacular trees.

Waterfall Villa is affiliated with the beautiful Koro Sun Resort with access to resort amenities including world class diving (Somosomo Straight, Namena Barrier Reef, south Vanua Levu), fishing, snorkeling, golf, tennis, volleyball, sea kayaking, mountain biking, elegant dining and a rain forest spa. The resort provides 24 Hour security. Kavika Falls is just a short walk from the villa.

Highway access to the home is all paved. Proximity to town and the airport are just a few minutes away.

Owner has the option to place home in Koro Sun rental pool to achieve income from the property.
