Description of our LOCATION in Costa Rica:
The southern Pacific zone, known as Costa Ballena (whale coast), has just recently been "discovered" and is now easily accessible by a newly paved road and highway from the capital city of San Jose. The Talamanca mountain range (highest in Central America), and (in the past) the terrible conditions of the un-paved roads, had prevented all but the most courageous travelers from enjoying the spectacular eye-candy scenery of our region. Our beaches and rain-forest covered mountains are still un-spoiled, however 2 years ago the main InterAmerican highway that runs all the way down Central America to Panama was paved. There are plans underway for a new international airport to be built in the near future, 25 miles south of our area, which would serve southern Costa Rica and northern Panama. We are now more easily accessible and are being promoted as the "last undiscovered and most bio-diverse area in Costa Rica".
