The farm is well established in educational tourism and organic farming/ permaculture courses.
This unique Organic Farm and Education Center has been lovingly developed over more than 20 years. It is located on the tropical mid coast of Ecuador, 15 minutes from the sea and the booming beachside town of Canoa and 30 minutes from and beautiful Ecocity of Bahia de Caráquez, a favourite port for international yachtys. The owners were fundamental in the creation of Bahia de Caráquez as an Ecocity.

The farm was recently chosen as one of National Geographic’ s 8 favorite paces in Ecuador and one of 80 in South America. This is what National Geographic said about the farm….

“A buzzing hive of students, volunteers, and travelers there mostly to learn about agro ecology. Located in a transition zone, where the dry forest meets the wet forest, the inn sits amid a lush tangle of trees and plants. A packed three-day program runs the gamut, from milking cows and making cheese to a horseback ride to look in on a community of howler monkeys. You also learn how to make cups and spoons from gourds. The farm's tilt toward teaching is wide-reaching. Río Muchacho supports a school for the local kids. Rooms and dorms can accommodate 50 people. “

About the farm
The farm is 27.5 acres( 11.2 ha) it is a mixture of food forests crops, pasture, tropical forage crops for cows and horses, chicken forage system, and a large vegetable production area. The land is flat and hilly and it is bordered by a river which runs all year. Creative cabins and rooms provide accommodation for up to 50 people. There is also a classroom, outdoor recreation areas, endless walking trails.
