Restored Historical House for Sale in Ibo Island, Cabo Delgado, Mozambique
Restored Historical House on Ibo Island with Tourist Licence
The property is part of the old stonetown of Ibo and was a residence and trading store in historical times. It was built like many of the old houses in the area with coral rock and lime cement from the island itself. Mangrove wood poles were used inside the walls and roofs as reinforcing. The property has been rebuilt using some old techniques supplemented with cement and reinforcing steel and modern plumbing materials thereby creating a structurally sound new building without the house losing its previous identity. The philosophy is to rebuild historical Ibo ruins as investment properties that are unique in style as well as sound investments because of their location on Ibo as well as falling within the boundaries of the Quirimbas national park. Currently the house has an Alvara(Casa Fim do Mundo) and is licensed as self catering e location of the house is clearly indicated on Google e care taking of the house is done by the neigbouring Miti Miwri guesthouse on a commission is is an excelent investment for anyone wanting to own a property in Mozambique that is paying for itself.
