In addition to surfing directly in front of the house, Casa Tortuga has multiple world class surf breaks starting as close as a five minute drive.

Playa Dorada is also the most active sea turtle beaches in all of El Salvador. During the turtle season you will likely see four different species laying eggs. There is also a Tortuga conservancy located at the beach. They collect and incubate the eggs to be released back into the sea. You can be part of the party to carry the baby turtles to the surf and release them at sunset. You and your guests will never forget this experience.

The home has an established rental history and Alex, our property manager, is a perfect example of the friendly and welcoming nature of the people of El Salvador. He is fluent in English, extremely knowledgable about the area, and also happens to be the 2007 El Salvadoran long-board champion. The onsite care takers will treat you like family and are happy to cook and clean as much or as little as you like.
