Kingfisher Ecolodge - a Nature Retreat in Laos

Kingfisher Ecolodge is an eco-lodge situated inside Xe Pian National Protected Area in Champasak province, southern Laos, directly on the edge of a RAMSAR Convention wetland.
We are about 60 km south of Pakse, the provincial capital city, and its international airport (direct flights to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam).

The lodge is operational since February 2006 and it is well known, and with very good reputation, amongst tour operators as well as different travel guide books (Lonely Planet, Rough guide, La Guide du Routard, Stephan Loose and others) and website like Trip Advisor. We mainly work with European, American and Australian market.

The lodge restaurant offers Lao and Italian food and we also organize guided eco activities like trekking and elephant riding being very close to Khiet Ngong village, one of the last villages with tamed elephants in southern Laos.

Part of the lodge is also the management house which could be easily turned to be family bungalow (double bedroom and bathroom with a living room), an employees house(4 rooms + bathroom), a warehouse, a laundry room, a brick built kitchen with toilets and small store.

The lodge has been set up under a Foreing Investment License (Kingfisher Ecolodge Co., Ltd.) which will be transferred to any new buyer being therefore a legal owner of the business for the Laotian law (Sole ownership also allowed), along with the license also a resident permit visa is granted on a yearly basis by the Lao government.

Laos is a country still with a full potential to be exploited being only since early 2000's that it became a tourist destination, in particular for the ever growing market of sustainable tourism or eco-tourism.

The owners are ready to assist on-site any buyer, for a period of 2 months since the date of sale, to help acquiring the requested knowledge to run the lodge and continue operations without disruption.
