One of the Most Unique Places in Ecuador, Saiananda

Saiananda has been being built since 27 years and, for a long time, was a personal project (household and office). Due to its beauty, the animals moving freely and the beautiful vegetation, there was a request from visitors and it was open to the public for tours. Later Saiananda became a hotel.

It is located at the side of the Bay of Caráquez, 6 kilometers from downtown, with a beachfront of 214.31 meters in one of the most beautiful settings in the Ecuadorian coast, making this property a unique place. Its location, right in the bay side, makes Saiananda ideal for swimming, kayaking, tours, marina, etc..

From Saiananda you can see the airport, which is located in the neighbor town of San Vicente.

Saiananda has different environments, starting with the land between the bay and the main road, where there are wonderful suites with spectacular view, built on piles over the water. This area is surrounded by vegetation where thrive animals many of them free - macaws, parrots, sloth, peacocks, etc..

A three meter wide tunnel goes under the road and connects the beach area with 37 hectares, consisting mainly of hills with valleys, which have a brick road 900 meters long by 5 meters wide, which leads to the top of the hill, reaching 118 meters height. From there you have a spectacular view of 270 ° of the Bahia de Caráquez estuary. This property has been densely planted with more than seven thousand trees of numerous native and exotic species which forms a forest that hosts numerous wild animals.

These 37 hectares have access to potable water and electricity. This has been built to develop a subdivision with lots of land between 600 and 1200 square meters, for sale to foreigners and Ecuadorians willing to build their vacation homes, given the high demand for properties in the area by Europeans, Americans and Canadians. This area has a private vehicle and pedestrian access from the main road, which allows it to be highly secure.

The hotel rooms are located in four main buildings. The first is a house built mostly of wood, surrounded by windows in its social areas, which gives a spectacular view of the bay. It has two floors with seven rooms, and is surrounded by a deck of 250 square meters.

Near this house is a wooden deck of 40 square meters, projected onto the bay which is also used as part of the restaurant. Also an outdoor covered dining room of 10 m2, which is an aquarium made in a giant pot that was used to prepare trapiche, transformed into a table.


The second is a concrete and wood building on two stories, where there are five bedrooms and a covered deck, right next to the water. This deck is actually our main restaurant.

The third building four rooms, next to the tunnel entrance, on two stories. The two downstairs rooms are concrete frame with wooden staves. The two rooms on the top floor are wooden.

As the highlight of the project, there a s is a structure of six rooms on two stories, built on piles driven into the bay and concrete beams, so that they are over the water and have a spectacular view of the bay with its mountains, city, bridge, islands, etc.. The construction of the rooms is quite beautiful with wood finishes and Indian stones bathrooms. Each room of 45 sq. m., include a 10 sq. m. deck, where you can enjoy the wonderful view, while resting in a hammock. This set of six rooms, is accessed by a covered wooden walk, built on piles.

There is a small hexagonal meditation center, with wood-paneled walls with glass.
