Beautiful modern home sitting on approximately 38 acres of land. The property is 30 minutes from Belmopan City (the capital of Belize), 30 minutes in the other direction to San Ignacio town with shopping and open-air fruit and vegetable markets. It is also 15 minutes from beautiful Spanish Lookout where you can buy just about anything you can buy in a first-world country.

The land parcel is approximately 1 mile past the quaint very-Belizean Buena Vista Village, where the local school is located. The land is surrounded by open farmland and orchards. Part of the 38 acres on the edge of the property is left uncleared and you will be able to spot howler monkeys, parrots, toucans and other wild life. A small creek runs through the property.

There is a large fish pond stocked with tilapia (at last count 1500 fish). There are fruit trees (mango, papaya, sweetsop, banana, plantain, plum) and also cassava, sorrel and coco. Outside the gated area,set back 200 yds from the gate, there is a small 2-bedroomed house where the gardener/caretaker and his family live.

The house is set back on a private driveway about a half mile from the road. The area around the house is fully fenced and entry is through double automatic gates. Inside this perimeter fence there is a fully screened vegetable and herb garden, plus a concrete dog pen and tractor shed.

The house was completed in 2010 and is of concrete block construction, with solid inerior walls and a green metal roof. Attached to the house is a 2-car garage plus storage area with an 80 gallon hot water tank. Under the garages is a concrete water storage tank, which holds approximately 250,000 gallons of rain water. This is collected from the roof and supplied to the house by an electric pump through a filtration system, with double filtration for drinking and kitchen use. The present owners love the soft rain water and rarely use city water (although it is available and connected to the house).
There is a solar water heater and a full-house generator, fueled by propane,
which kicks in if there is a government power cut - making the home virtually self-sufficient.

All windows in the house are screened and custom wood blinds are included in the price of the house.

You enter the house through double doors into a wide hallway. Off of this hallway is a 4th bathroom for visitors. The guest bedrooms, which both have en-suite bathrooms, are to the right in a private wing. To the left is the den/office. This room has french doors and could function as a 4th bedroom.
Past this is the dining room, which is separate to but adjacent to the kitchen.
The large kitchen features beautiful mahogany cabinets and a breakfast bar. It is open to the spacious living room.

The large master suite has three windows and a private sitting area, together with substantial closet space. This room has an air-conditioning unit and two modern fans. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and double sink vanity with vessel sinks. It has a separate toilet and an adjoining dressing area.

The house also has a sun-room/exercise room which is located to the rear overlooking the creek area.

Ceiling fans are in all the rooms of the house.
