Coronado has several shopping malls, with 3 major super markets and will soon be approximately 40 minutes from a new, international airport to the west. In years past, this was a weekend retreat, later an attraction to expat retirees, and currently has a mixed population of all ages and many nationalities. It is well connected to Panama City, approximately a 40 minute drive by car or the many buses that travel throughout the day and evening. Private drivers are also available. From this property, shopping, restaurants, banks, insurance and everything you need 5-10 minutes away.

Very important to Coronado is the San Fernando Coronado Medical Clinic and Emergency Room, which is an affiliate of the Hospital San Fernando in the City, a world class hospital. Specialist doctors from the City come to the local Clinic on a routine basis. Clinic doctors are available 7 days/week. X-Ray, laboratory, and radiology services are also available locally. Also, private medical and dental groups have opened offices and there are now 3 vet clinics open, one is VETS which is bilingual.

Coronado has a unique climate. It is surrounded by mountains and the Ocean which causes the area to by sunny, with less rain than other parts of the country, even in the Rainy Season.

Coronado is known as the first developed beach community on the Pacific West Coast of Panama. Surrounded by mountains and Ocean, there are more sunny days here, less rainy days, and absolutely gorgeous views. Before reaching the gate to the community, there are 4 malls and numerous smaller shopping areas. Restaurants abound on the highway, just a few blocks from the highway, and inside the main gate specialty restaurants are found. A fifth mall is in progress. It is very easy for full-time or part-time living here.

As in all of Panama, U.S. currency is used in Coronado, as are many major credit cards. With all the commerce and services available in Coronado, it is very easy for full-time or part-time living here.
