Colonial style building in excellent condition. Has recently (May 2013) been repainted inside and out as well as various renovations. It has wooden floors, thick walls & high decorative plaster ceilings. A great terrace with fantastic views which could be easily converted to provide additional accommodation to add to the existing 24 guest capacity. Hostel Revolution has it's own webpage and is currently one of the highest rated hostels in Quito on hostelbookers, Hostelworld and tripadvisor. Recently listed in Lonely Planet Ecuador guide for 2012 - 2015 "an excellent, laid-back option with comfy rooms, shared kitchen, terrace with views and colourful bar/lounge where you can meet other travellers" . This listing has really increased the occupancy and we currently are up 30% on last year.

Located within the northern boundary of the beautiful Historical Centre of Quito, a growth area that has been under constant restoration and improvement over the last several years. The Historical Centre is now the preferred location for travellers instead of the traditional "gringoland" or Mariscal area. It is a UNESCO historical site, being the best preserved colonial city in South America. A truly unique and beautiful city. All the main tourist attractions within 25 minutes walk.

Hostel Revolution is one block from the totally restored and renovated Alameda Park, the oldest in Quito. In addition a 5 star boutique hotel has recently opened just down the road. Beautiful Itchimba Park is 10 minutes walk uphill with the best views in Quito. The hostel is also a few blocks from the 45 million dollar urban/green space development project around the Legislative Assembly due to be completed soon and set to improve the values in the area.

Three main buslines - Trolley, Ecovia and Metro buses with their own lanes making travel fast and cheap - are close by. La Mariscal or 'Gringoland' (new town) area where the bars, international restaurants, agencies and discos are minutes by bus/taxi (20 minutes walk).

An opportunity exists for new owners to inject new enthusiasm and ideas. It is a fun, relaxed lifestyle with all the hard work already done. Hostel Revolution is not a rowdy party hostel, but a relaxed chilled hostel and advertised and operated that way.
