Coffee Farm For Sale in Neira, Caldas, Colombia

Heart Of Colombia Coffee Triangle!

Asking Price: $99,000 USD

Hello and Buenas Dias!
Thank you for looking at my farm.
Some history: I have owned this farm for six years. It has splendid chocolate flavored coffee beans that are amazing to the taste. This place is 9.8 Hectareas. It has a main house, and a separate caretakers quarters located out back. This is absolutely a paradise. It has the most amazing breathtaking mountain views you have ever seen. The back of the property borders The river Tapias, a medium size river with a nice bridge to cross it with. There are many hiking trails and biking trails. The quaint town of Neira is located only a couple miles from the farm. The entrance to the farm is located in a small community called El Descanso, which means “rest” and that is what you will get at this place!
I am motivated to sell but I’m not in a bind. I have owned this farm free and clear from day one!
I have a caretaker and his wife living on the farm currently. I have a friend who lives nearby in Manizales who is willing to show the farm. He speaks Spanish and English fluently. This coffee farm would be ideal for someone wanting to offer a specialty coffee in a boutique type setting or you could just have a beautiful tucked away bungalow for yourself... both!!
The house could use a little tlc but is perfectly livable as is. Appliances and furnishings are included. All you would need to bring is your suitcase to stay there.
We currently sell the picked coffee locally at the state co-op but the price is not very high. The proceeds do generally cover the caretakers income and then some but keep in mind, the state offers pennies on the dollar for what this coffee can actually be sold for when it is roasted and bagged. I am in the coffee business myself but I am not currently set up to utilize the farm.
There is a separate processing room located out behind the main house. I have been told it would take $75,000.00+ to have this build but it is there and functions so you get that too.
There is an automatic clothes washer there that comes with the farm also.
The caretaker and his wife would be happy to continue living on the farm if you were to purchase it. Currently It takes minimum wage to have him live there which ends up being about $75/wk USD. Selling the coffee locally accomplishes paying him. He and his wife are willing to do things like weekly house cleaning and meal preparation if you would like (additional fee).
I am available and happy to answer questions about the farm. I will answer some questions about life in Colombia but the best way to know about it is go live there like I did for a year!
This farm is a taxi, bus, car, or motorcycle ride away from a small town "Neira"(10 mins) or about a 30 minute ride to Manizales with many malls, shops, restaurants, etc.
Columbian meals at a restaurant are the least expensive (approx $3-5 USD) or you can choose pizza, sushi, Mexican (different from Columbian), Steakhouse, Mcdonalds. many more choices.
Thank-you, Greg
